Computer Maintenance Technician

POSITION: Computer Maintenance Technician
Associates degree in a technical related field of study preferred or equivalent work experience
Certification in computer repair for Windows and Apple based hardware preferred or equivalent work experience
Reliable and trustworthy to work with children in a school environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot a variety of operating systems including Microsoft, Apple and Google
Working knowledge of current Microsoft, Apple, and Google networked computing environment
Proven ability to troubleshoot software related issues
Experience in the use of Windows and Apple cloning software strongly desired
Basic knowledge in networking including DHCP, DNS, POE, VOIP and wireless technologies
Ability to work independently under the supervision of the Coordinator of Innovative Technology and Strategic Services
Ability to work within a team environment
Must provide own transportation to travel between facilities
Evidence of clear and effective communications skills
Reports to: Director of Digital Learning and Innovation
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Troubleshoot and repair Microsoft, Apple, and Google operating systems
Troubleshoot and repair Microsoft, Apple, and Google devices
Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, software, printers, smart boards, telephones, paging system, projectors, and mobile devices
Troubleshoot and repair educational and office application software issues
Create, distribute, and maintain desktop computer images on Windows and Apple platforms
Deploy new and existing computer systems
Maintain assigned work orders using the Track IT! work order system
Provide first line troubleshooting response for video systems as well as other technology related systems and equipment
Assists with basic network troubleshooting and support
Assists with telephone and voicemail user account management as needed
Other technology-related duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager
Terms of Employment and Compensation:
12 month work year
Benefits per AFSCME Contract

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
